Do you have any favorite words? I'm not really a word-collector, but there are some that I think have an awesome sound: spontaneity, cacophony, crystalline.
I'm not sure why I like them...they just sound cool. Too hard to spell, though!

A personal fave is "penultimate" (meaning second-last). I also like "awesome", though that one is much, much more commonly used. Oh, and "cheese" of course. xD

I adopted "queritate" which is "to inquire".
I just love obscure/rarely used/obsolete words! And if they sound cool it's even better :) Examples: colophon, perpendicular, phantasmagoria ... I rarely use them in daily life though. I bet if we all start using those "fancy" words more often, conversations will be more fun :)
